Great place for a good meal and Awesome service

The food here is decent and the staff is very friendly, but the prices are ridiculously high for the amount and quality of food that you receive. Plus, the restaurant could use a few upgrades. It is very dark and dingy. It is nice that they take reservations though. They are one of the only places in town that do!

Awesome dinner as always! All four of us in our party had the prime rib tonight.Great meal...best prime rib around. Service was excellent as usual... on a very busy night! Ran into 3 other couples we knew having dinner. NLSH is always a great place to run into friends and get a super meal at a great price!

Friendly courteous staff. I had shrimp and it was pretty good. I would prefer a larger selection of brews though. Really my only complaint.

Try the Bubba Gump Shrimp! The ribs are the best in the area. If you want ribs don't go anywhere else! This is the place to be! Nice salad bar! Friendly customer service!

New London Steak House serves the best prime rib I have ever eaten. I have eaten a lot of beef and I have eaten a lot of great steaks and prime rib in a lot of different places in the U.S. I grew up on a farm where we raised our own beef. I have a special place in my heart (and my stomach!) for prime rib, and I can tell you the this place serves the best prime rib I have ever had. And this is not based on one visit. I went to a nearby college and every time my parents came to visit, we went to New London and had prime rib, every one as good as the last. To be honest, since moving away from the area, prime rib has almost been ruined for me because I have not been able to experience one as good as this place serves. The service is great, and the prices (for the quantity and quality you get) are great. If you are a lover of prime rib, such as myself, look no further.

We had another amazing experience !! The service was fantastic as usual and the salad-bar and meal were incredible. If you enjoy tasty Pork BBQ Ribs that are falling off the bone, finger-licking good I'd highly recommend trying theirs. Be prepared and come with an appetite (I've included a picture of them!). If you haven't been to the "New London Steakhouse before, I'd highly recommend the road trip.... Trust me, you won't be disappointed 😉They do require reservations, so make them early to ensure that you get the time and table that suits you. Enjoy your meal and tell them that Chris sent you 😊😊😊

Best steak and sweet potato I've ever eaten out in a restaurant. Very good service, very good food. I will be coming back. When my daughter bit into her prime rib her eyes lit up like sparklers.

Casual atmosphere, excellent food. Nice little one-trip salad bar; the ribs appetizer was AH-mazing and definitely enough food to be an entree. Even my husband had to take home half his order after that!

Had a retirement party there with about 30 people, I'm sure they were overwhelmed with trying to get all the orders out in a timely manner . I would not recommend to have a large group there, but couples up to 4 people at a table would be fine, the food is delicious and staff is friendly

We enjoyed dinner at New London Steak House celebrating our 25th Anniversary and it was absolutely awesome. The food was so delicious would melt in your mouth Keith is a great Chef and the service was very efficient. We highly recommend this place best in area.

Good food, service was excellent! Only thing for me is that the place is dark, tight spaces hard to maneuver around. Restroom was clean,fully stocked, just small.

I had a fantastic first time here. The steak was absolutely amazing. It has been years since I have had a steak where I deemed steak sauce unnecessary. The salad bar provided a great appetizer to my meal as well. The only downside to this restaurant is that it is a little cramped. As long as you stay in your seat, you're okay, but if you wander to the bathroom or salad bar you will find yourself bumping into others frequently. Overall, a wonderful experience here. I will be back!

I have ate at New London many times. They worst meal I ever had was great. Keith always makes sure you get the best meal possible. If you want some great Prime Rib then this is the place to go. Yummmm

Such unbelievably good steaks! And their dinner rolls are out of this world. A bit of a wait on a Saturday night, but well worth it!

Our first time was Valentine's dinner, we were smart and made reservations. Lovely service and great food! We enjoyed every aspect of our experience. It's so refreshing to find a steak house who can actually deliver a perfectly grilled medium rare 🤤 The only photo I took was of the antique jukebox right as you walk in, but the whole restaurant is cool...

The food is good. The restaurant is actually a big house so it is sometimes difficult to maneuver around people and doorways. Everyone seems to love the burger. They also have a small salad bar that's decent.

Prime Rib was excellent....salad bar was fresh...rolls were yummy....and Vannesa was awesome....made our New Years Eve reservations before we left....

I brought a person whom had never been there. I had told them how neat & good it was. The waitress was really good. But I was so disappointed in the steaks. I had spent over a hundred dollars & left apologizing to my guest for the meal. I know they have their regulars so I doubt that they will miss my return visit.

I am writing the same review as I did in trip advisor, I just can’t say enough!! Absolutely one of the finest restaurants in Virginia!! The ribs are so delicious you will dream about them for years, and physically become restless until your next visit! And the prime rib makes me cry thinking about experience. Surly this food is prepared by an accomplished chef. Goodness almost forgot - Wings and Cheesecake MAKE ROOM!!! Bravo New London Staff!!
